Recently on a flight back, I laughed at some of the people who were clapping that we had arrived safely. Its something that is very common in the Middle East or was at least when I was growing up; and it was only when I started taking flights from different places I realized it wasn't the norm.
Its strange but the older I get the more uneasy I am with the take off and landing of flights. This time hearing the clap really flight like some people were taking the time to celebrate that they were alive.
We are blessed daily in so many ways and weather its clapping to celebrate a safe landing or smiling from satisfaction from a great meal, great conversation with friends or even a great work out helps us slow down and celebrate our blessings.

I feel exactly the same way. I was more courageous back then. I remember seeng two movies about plane crashes when I was 9, prior to a trip to the U.S. Today, I'd probably cancel the flight.
Have a nice day! =)
